DrumWorks School of Music is a great "one stop shop" for my boys. From drums & guitar to piano they get great instruction from professional musicians! They are excited about lessons and are eager and motivated. The music teachers are friendly, prompt, professional and great with my boys and our schedule. We are very excited to have this music school on our side of town. Scott, Gus and Dan are excellent at what they do- music is their thing and that passion is reflected in the lessons.

Scott is a really great teacher. He has been drumming over 25 years. He knows exactly what to do when you are stuck on something. He also encourages you not to give up. I've had him as a teacher for over a year now and he’s just great. He's also friendly so you won't feel nervous or uncomfortable during lessons. I highly recommend you pick him as your drum teacher! He will make sure you get better with your drumming skills.

I couldn’t have found a better instructor for my own development. You have to find the right person to guide and help you in your personal progress. This is true in any endeavor undertaken for personal growth and fulfillment. As a not-so-young aspiring musician in my mid-40’s, my experience in taking lessons from Scott for the past year has been amazing. Scott’s knowledge and appreciation of the drums and how they relate to any genre of music is really rather extraordinary. Conveying to me how to play and develop as a new drummer is only one part of Scott’s approach to teaching. His patience with me as a new student to the drums… knowing when to push and when to take things in a different direction is invaluable. Starting from scratch, learning rudiments, learning phrases and movements was just the beginning. In a short amount of time, Scott has increased my acumen for drumming and my drumming vocabulary immensely. Sometimes our lessons take the form of discussions regarding different approaches to various styles of music. Understanding how and what to do and perhaps why it can be done in a certain way is one of his main emphases. Why Keith Moon played the way he did as opposed to John Bonham or Neil Peart! With Scott relating everything internally to musical percussion while exploring what is actually “happening with the music” has given me a reinvigorated appreciation of not only the drums, but to music overall. My weekly lessons with Scott Williams really are the highlight of my week. You can’t put a price on personal development and personal expression, and though I know I have a long way to go, … so far it’s been an Amazing Journey!

I've been coming to Scott for lessons for 5+ years and every lesson has turned out to be a great experience. If I ever have a problem with a section of a song or a beat I just can't get down, I can always count on Scott to point out some steps or techniques that make the whole ordeal a whole lot simpler.

What a wonderful learning environment! Scott is patient, kind and keeps it fun. Christopher has improved tremendously in a very short time. Thanks Scott!

I would highly recommend Scott’s drum teaching, having studied with him for 7 years, starting as a beginner. After learning other instruments, I knew what to expect in terms of progress, but I found my achievements under Scott’s tuition far exceeded my expectations. This speaks to his exceptional strengths as a teacher rather than his simply being a highly skilled drummer. Second, as I explore new and more advanced areas I have realized I am still only scratching the surface of his knowledge and ability to keep advancing what I can do. It has opened up drumming as something deeper and more interesting than I thought it could be, in a free-form format which can lead in any direction according to my needs and interests. Progress is a function of practice time, which is limited to me as an amateur musician, but teaching of this high level has actually turned out to be a rapid accelerator to learning. So, I would strongly recommend lessons with Scott to anyone looking for value and results, regardless of level and drumming style.

My son is 9 and couldn’t wait to play the drums. However, he was nervous and shy and I wasn’t sure how he would do at his first lesson, or if he would even get past that nervousness and be able to participate in the lesson. Scott was wonderful and patient with Logan and made him feel right at home! Logan had such a blast at his very first lesson and really appreciated all of the encouragement Scott gave him! The studio is warm and inviting and as parents, we are very comfortable talking with Scott about any questions that we have. He is very informative and it is clear that Scott is a very talented artist and truly knows and enjoys what he is teaching! Logan is so excited every week for his lesson and we feel very fortunate to have found Scott! DrumWorks is top notch and we would definitely recommend anyone with a desire to learn to try them out! We guarantee you won’t be disappointed!

We have twin sons. Connor receives his drum lessons from Scott and Liam receives guitar lessons from Gus. These two gentleman are fantastic teachers. Both Connor and Liam love to come each week. I have been fascinated by the progress they both have made. We could not be happier. Thank you Scott and Gus for making learning an instrument so enjoyable for our sons.

Thanks for doing such a great job with Maya. She has progressed so quickly and really loves drumming. I could not have asked for a better teacher. You are helping to make a child's dream come true!

Scott is the quintessential drum instructor. He is, not only an extremely gifted musician, but an equally gifted teacher. He’s the kind of guy kids adore, teens aspire to be, adults want to learn from and parents want to hire. Scott possesses that unique ability to blend serious, focused instruction with fun. I’ve never met anyone more passionate about their music and that passion overflows into his students. With himself, Scott is a perfectionist, always growing and learning his craft. But what I really love about Scott is his ability to readily adapt to the widely varied needs of his students.

My 10-year old son began 4th grade band as a saxophone player. Half way through the year, he decided to switch to drums. In just 8 lessons with Scott, my son went from 5 months behind to 6th chair! Scott was able to get our son, not only caught up to, but ahead of some of his class, and with better technique. Hopefully our experience will give you the confidence to choose Scott for drum instruction. I know it's tough if you don't have any personal recommendations or experience, but I truly believe you will be inspired.

We have nothing but good things to say about Scott and DrumWorks. My son has learned so much over the few years he has been coming to Scott for drum lessons. He likes his lessons and thinks Scott is the "coolest" teacher. Would highly recommend DrumWorks.

I've been playing for over 40 years, and I study here because it simply makes me a better drummer.
